In 1998, Ph. Iyad Al-Mokdad went to Canada and during his extended stay there, his new baby was born. As a pharmacist, he was determined to ensure his child received the adequate supplementation. This belief/insistence arose from a deep understanding of the several/extensive publications about/highlighting the importance of Vitamin D for children since birth alongside Canada's leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, and the evident lack of a good Vitamin D product in the Lebanese market.

Since Canada is a renowned country in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, Ph. Al Mokdad was determined to source the best vitamin D supplementation from there.
After extensive research and browsing the shelves of various pharmacies, he ultimately selected PediaVIT D marking a turning point in Vitamin D supplementation in Lebanon.

Ph. Al-Mokdad’s discovery of a Vitamin D solution for a baby fueled a vision. He saw an opportunity to address the common deficiency in Lebanese children, especially that his mission was to raise awareness using the scientific research.
